Materials:

• Musical Instruments

  • Shakers 

  • Drums

  • Bells / triangles 

  • Scarves or ribbons 

  • Fabric

  • Tambourine

  • Wooden Blocks

Instructions:

• Explore the instruments and their sounds

• Encourage children to listen carefully and think about what kind of weather each instrument represents

• Invite children to guess: “What weather does this sound like?”

• Model sentences:

• “This drum sounds like thunder when I hit it.”

• “This bell sounds like a sunny day—the sun is shining.”

• Encourage children to share their own ideas using similar sentences
