What mysteries await under the sea?

Materials:

• Shallow tray or bin with water

• Food coloring

• Variety of sea-themed toys (fish, mermaids, pirates, boats, shells, rocks)

• Optional: sand, small props to create underwater scenes

• Paper and crayons/markers for optional drawing

Instructions:

• Set up the water tray with toys and props, leaving them open-ended for exploration.

• Invite children to create their own underwater story, using any toys and props, moving characters, and imagining adventures freely.

• Encourage children to share their story with peers if they want, describing what happened and how their characters interacted. Drawing is optional for children who want to illustrate their story.
