Materials:
White flowers (like carnations or daisies) or lettuce.
Clear cups or vases with water
Different food coloring (red, blue, green, etc.)
Instructions:
Show the children the white flowers and ask what they think will happen when we put them in colored water.
Fill each cup with water, add a few drops of food coloring and place a white flower in each cup.
Observe the changes over time (after a few hours or the next day) and talk about what they notice.
Discuss how water moves inside the plant and why water is important for plants to grow. (Optional: encourage students to draw observations)
