What Stories Live Inside Your Painting?

Materials:

• Paint (washable tempera or watercolor)

• Paper or cardstock

• Brushes, sponges, or fingers

• Aprons and table covers

Instructions:

• Invite students to explore the paint and begin painting freely.

• Encourage students to focus on colors, lines, and movements while they paint.

• Allow students to explore colors using brushes, sponges or fingers. 

• Once finished, invite students to look at their painting.

• Ask students to tell a story about what they see in their painting.
