Materials:

• Pegs

• Number cards (1–10)

• Small baskets or cups

• Pom-poms, beads, or buttons

Instructions:

• Clip number cards to baskets or cups.

• Children use clothespins to pick up and place the correct number of pom-poms, beads, or buttons into each basket, matching the number card.

• Encourage counting aloud as they work.

• For extra challenge, use two cards per basket and ask children to add or compare amounts.
