Materials:
Pegs
Number cards (1–10)
Small baskets or cups
Pom-poms, beads, or buttons
Instructions:
Clip number cards to baskets or cups.
Children use clothespins to pick up and place the correct number of pom-poms, beads, or buttons into each basket, matching the number card.
Encourage counting aloud as they work.
For extra challenge, use two cards per basket and ask children to add or compare amounts.
