Materials:
Lego car
Teamwork skills poster
Recycled materials: cardboard box, papers, cardboards
Instructions:
Begin by having all the students sit in a circle. Say: “Today, we’re going to build a car together! But we can’t do it alone—we need to work as a team. That means we’ll have to listen, share, and help each other.”
Introduce Teamwork Skills: Show the Teamwork Skills poster. Briefly explain each skill:
Listening – Pay attention to what others are saying; Sharing – Take turns and share ideas or materials; Asking for help – It’s okay to ask when you’re not sure; Helping others – Offer help if someone needs it.
Teacher Modeling (Small Version Car): Two teachers model how to build a small car using the teamwork steps. As you model, say things like: “I’m going to listen to your idea.”, “Let’s take turns putting the wheels on.”, “I need help—can you hold this while I attach the top?”.
Now it is turn for the kids to work as a group and start building the car using teamwork skills.
