Obj: 2c, 8a, 9b, 9c, 10a, 10b.
Instructions:
Start by telling the children that they will meet two of Al’s friends. Discuss what it means to be a good friend.
Al introduces Keisha and Ty to the class. Together they lead a discussion about what makes a good friend and what they like to do with their friends. Refer to the puppet script for guidance.
Play “Friend to friend”. Group the children in pairs and ask them to stand facing their partner. Call out a direction such as “Toes to toes!” and encourage the children to touch toes with their partner. Repeat with additional body parts, e.g., knee to knee, elbow to elbow, and hand to hand.
After a few turns, say, "Friend to friend!” to signal the children to switch partners. Continue the game for as long as the children are interested.
