Materials:
Indi robot
Color tiles (green = go, purple = turn right, yellow = slow down, red = stop, etc.)
Floor space or mat for creating paths
Paper and markers
Instructions:
Begin by showing Indi to the students. Say: “This is Indi! Indi loves to follow colors to know where to go.”
Work together to build a simple path using a color sequence (for example: green–green–red). Let Indi roll and observe the movement.
Invite students to create their own color pattern for Indi to follow.
Powerful InterACTions - PK3:
What color did Indi see first?
What happened when Indi rolled over that color?
How many colors are in your path?
What color did you choose next? Why?
How did Indi know when to stop?
Powerful InterACTions - PK4:
What pattern did you create for Indi?
Why did you choose these colors?
How can you make Indi turn or stop?
What happens if you change one color in your sequence?
How can you make Indi follow a longer path?
