How would you change the ending of a story?

Materials:

• Storybook to read aloud

• Paper and drawing tools (crayons, markers, colored pencils)

• Optional: whiteboard or chart paper for shared drawing

Instructions:

• Read a story aloud to the children, pausing at the ending.

• Invite children to imagine a new ending for the story and describe it aloud.

• Have children draw their alternative ending, then share it with peers or the group.
