Materials:
A tray
5–8 different fruits, food items or kitchen utensils
A cloth or towel to cover the tray
Optional: small baskets for sorting
Instructions:
Place several of the items on a tray.
Invite children to look closely at the tray for about 20–30 seconds.
Cover the tray with a cloth.
Ask children to remember and name the foods they saw.
Reveal the tray again and discuss what they remembered or missed.
Repeat the game, sometimes removing or adding an item to make it more challenging.
