How can I create my own sound shakers?

Materials:

• Small plastic or cardboard containers (bottles, cups, boxes with lids)

• Different fillers (rice, beans, beads, sand, pasta)

• Tape or glue

• Markers, stickers, or paint for decorating

Instructions:

1. Let children choose a container and different fillers to put inside.

2. Encourage them to explore how each filler changes the sound by shaking.

3. Seal the container with tape or glue.

4. Have them decorate their shaker and share how their sound is different from others.
