Materials:
Bingo Cards
Bingo Chips, markers, or counters
Word/picture calling cards (for the teacher)
Small prizes or stickers (optional)
Instructions:
Show a vocabulary picture, say the word clearly, and do its gesture. Have students repeat the word and copy the gesture. (watch video gesture - Unit 2).
Place the pictures around the room. Call a word and have students point, walk to, or do the gesture for the matching picture.
Sing a short song with all the vocabulary words, showing the pictures and gestures. Encourage students to join in.
Hold up each picture, do the gesture, and ask, “What is this?” Have the class answer and repeat the gesture.
Give each child a Bingo card with 9 vocabulary words and pictures. Call a word or show a picture. Students cover it if they have it.
The first student to cover three in a row calls “Bingo!” Then the class says all the words in that row together.
