Instructions:
We start with an attention chant to gather the group’s focus.
Then, we present the Voice Levels Poster, explaining each of them.
We play a version of “Marco Polo” where children respond using the appropriate voice level depending on the setting named (e.g., “library” = whisper).
We use images of different environments such as the classroom, playground, hallway, beach, soccer field, or home to reinforce the activity.
At the end of the week, students will create and paint signs to show which voice level should be used in each classroom and outdoor space.
Finally, we will post the signs in visible areas as helpful reminders of appropriate voice use.
