Trays or mats to organize items
Books about animal habitats
Optional: magnifying glasses
Instructions:
Children choose animal figures and observe details — size, color, texture, and type (farm, jungle, sea, etc.).
Sort animals independently by category (type, size, or color) and count how many are in each group.
Use blocks to create habitats, enclosures, or imaginative scenes for the animals. Encourage stacking, balancing, and designing independently.
