Where Do You See Patterns Outside? 

Materials:

• Natural items: sticks, rocks, petals, leaves, pinecones, shells

• Outdoor space or basket with collected items

Instructions:

• Pick natural items from outdoors together OR have a prepared basket/tray with the items already.

• First demonstrate a simple repeating pattern: stick-rock-stick-rock

• Make our own patterns and describe what items we each used.
