How do we welcome others?

Instructions:

1. Explain to the children that they will meet a visitor. Tell them that the classroom is a new place for the visitor because he has never been there before. 

2. Introducing the song “Al, will you come out?” Before introducing Al the puppet, explain that he is a puppet that likes to visit classes to talk and sing. 

3. As the children introduce themselves, Al replies “Nice to meet you”. 

4. Start the Puppet Discussion. Refer to the puppet script for guidance. 

5. Sing the song “Bye bye Al” and tell the children this is a special song to say goodbye to Al. 

6. For enrichment, have the kids make special drawings for their new classmates to make them feel welcomed.
