Instructions:
A. Gather students with measuring tools and objects.
B. Play “Simon Says” using spatial and measuring words:
“Simon says put your block under the table.”
“Simon says hold your pencil up.”
“Simon says sit between two chairs.”
“Simon says pile blocks up and measure how tall the pile is.”
“Simon says stand next to a friend and measure how tall you both are.”
“Simon says use the tape to measure how far you can stretch your arms.”
C. Ask kids to say what they did using spatial and measuring words (“I measured the books I stacked between the chairs.”)
