Instructions:
Keep the feelings and faces cards handy to show during the activity.
Let’s make face puzzles! You can use paper/cut out waste, arts and crafts materials or natural materials (leaves, sticks, etc.)
Help the child decide which emotion/s they want to create today or draw emotional faces.
Emphasize facial features visible in each emotion e.g.: eyebrows, eyes, hands and arms.
Cut the faces in half.
Mix the faces and build your puzzles!
Express verbal common statements used for each emotion:
Happy: yay! Yes! Laughter.
Sad: oh no! I don’t like this. Crying
Angry: Hey! Stop! I don’t like it. Crying
Scared: I don’t wanna do it. Crying
Ashamed: sorry
