How Can You Measure Animals?

Materials:

• Toy animals from the classroom

• Building blocks or LEGO pieces for measuring

• Paper or individual recording sheets

• Crayons or markers

Instructions:

• Invite children to explore toy animals and measure their size using blocks or LEGOs. 

• Encourage them to count how many blocks long or tall each animal is.

• Have students record their findings by drawing the animals and showing their measurements.

• Discuss which animals are the biggest, smallest, tallest, or shortest.
