Fruit Salad

Instructions:

  1. Move to the kitchen, clean the area, and wash your hands. Use our song while washing hands.

  2. Talk about the fruit you will be using.

  3. Bring out orange juice if you’d like.

  4. Point to your child each fruit and talk about the unique characteristics.

  5. Offer to count how many fruits you will be using.

  6. Let your child cut under strict supervision and mix ingredients.

  7. Enjoy!

  • Hey, I’d like to invite you today to make a special salad. I know you don’t eat all vegetables but this is a special kind of salad. It’s called fruit salad.

  • What do you think we could add to the fruit salad?

  • Interesting.. What else?

  • I’ve noticed your first choice is watermelon. What does it taste like? Let’s compare it to some other fruit.

  • Since we are done cutting, let all fruits mix gently together and add a little bit of orange juice.
