Will it Sink or Float?

Instructions:

1. Please start with an empty basket to go around and grab a few toys that could get wet.

2. Place a bin outside and fill it with some water.

3. Grab the toys and start the interactions one toy at a time.

4. Take your floorbook to reflect when done. You can make two groups. Those who float and those that sink.

InterACTions:

• Let’s get some of your toys to answer an interesting question. Let’s try to find out if a toy will sink or float?

• Here we go, do you think that toy will sink when we put it in? Really why? Tell me more. (Repeat this step with each toy).

• Let’s use your floorbook. Draw in this side the toys that float and on the other side the ones that sink.
