How can you use
bubbles to make art?

Obj. 7a, 8b, 11d, 14b

Instructions:

  1. Gather your materials: Recycled plastic bottles, an old sock, rubber bands, liquid dish soap, large adult scissors or sharp knife to cut the plastic bottle, paint or food coloring, large white paper.

  2. Ask an adult to help you cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle

  3. Wrap sock around bottom of cut plastic bottle and seal with a rubber band or two

  4. Make the bubble solution: lots of liquid dish soap and a little bit of water in a shallow plate or recipient.

  5. Divide the solution into bowls and add the food coloring or paint and mix.

  6. Dip sock into colored bubble solution and blow from opposite end (remember to only blow, if you suck you’ll taste soap!)

  7. Have fun creating art with the bubbles.
