Can I help create a shape
floorbook painting?

Instructions:

1. Gather kraft paper, masking tape and paint. Paint supplies and markers.

2. Secure paper on the floor with the masking tape and delimit participants’ areas with the tape so each has a section.

InteACTion:

• Can you help me find a comfortable area where we can tape the floorbook? Great, now we need to gather our painting materials? What else do you think we need?

• Now can you think of one shape that can help us create art today. We can use all shapes but we will create a space for each.

• What would be the fort one? Ok awesome! So you have chosen a_______. Can you mention some of the attributes? How many corners, how about sides?

• Wow!  Great thinking! Now let’s use your chosen shape and start drawing it on the paper with the colors and supplies you prefer.

• Can you make a pattern doing the same process now?
