Can I open my container?

Instructions:

1. Take out your snacks from your lunchbox. 

2. Choose what snack you want to have first. 

3. Observe your container carefully to see how you need to open it. 

4. Try a few times with an adult direction.

InterACTion:

• What does your container look like?

• How can we open it?

• What do we need to do? (Establish a quick step instruction)

• Some ways we can open are:

  1. Pinch, pinch, pull (for cookies)

  2. Lift the tabs (plastic containers)

  3. Twist the lid

• Were you able to open it? What did you do?

• If you weren’t able to open it. What can you do differently next time?
