How can you use
a pendulum to create art?

Instructions:

1. Gather your materials: disposable cup, string, some kind of stick to hang the pendulum on (broom or paper towel roll, etc.), large paper, paint, tape (optional).

2. Ask an adult to help you make a hole on the bottom of the cup and one on each side of the top to tie the string.

3. Find a place outside and construct the pendulum.

4. Place paint in cup and a large paper below (test with water first to see how large you’ll need the paper)

5. Have fun creating with your pendulum!

6. Experiment with different length strings and different heights of the pendulum.
