Instructions:

  1. Gather your materials: A variety of different objects that are different sizes and weights.

  2. Find a high place to drop the items from.

  3. One by one drop the items, noticing how they fall.

  4. Next, drop two items from the same height at the time, observe how they fall.

InterACTions:

  • What objects, that can’t break, can we gather from around the house to drop? Remember we need different sizes and weights!

  • Let’s order them from biggest to smallest…heaviest to lightest.

  • How could you classify the items?

  • What do you know about the objects that we are going to drop?

  • What do you think will happen when we drop these objects? What about two at the same time?

  • Where could we drop these objects from?

  • Let’s put on our observation goggles! Remember, when observing: Slow Down.......Stay Focused.......Pay attention to details.
