Setting The Table

Instructions:

1. Gather all items you think you would need to set the table.

2. Help your child arrange them in groups.

3. Decide how many places you will be setting up.

4. Talk about what goes in the right, left, on top, in between, under.

InterACTions:

• I’m wondering if we can set the table together.

• I would love to hear about your strategy to first group all items.

• How many places do we need to set up?

• What should we start with. Oh! Interesting I see you have started with the plate. What goes to the right? What about to the left?

• What should you put on top of the napkin?

• Can we count how many forks we have in total? What about knives?
