  2. Have fun listening and talking with your child about the book.

  3. Feel free to pause at any point and discuss the book

  4. Listen as many times as the student wants!


  • Notice - The first step is paying attention to what the child is interested in.

  • Respond - Offer help or acknowledge what they are doing.

  • Name it - Help your child name what they are focused on.

  • Keep it going - Give the child a chance to respond.
