Organizing Toys

Instructions:

1. Observe the area where you keep your toys.

2. Look at the toys you have there.

3. Think and converse about how you could classify (group) your toys.

4. Group your toys by the chosen characteristics.

5. Rearrange your play area using the groups

6. Take a picture and share your child creation on Flipgrid

7. Let your child tell us about the process in a video.

Optional challenge: Group those objects into new categories of groups.

• Hmm, what toys do you have there?

• Can you describe some of them?

• How are they the same or different?

• Can you group them according to the characteristics you have mentioned?

• Can we count how many objects in each group?

• So how many groups do you have now?
