Nature Based Self-Portrait

Instructions:

  1. Get a piece of paper, floorbook, or recycled paper, glue and scissors! (crayons/markers optional)

  2. Explore outside and choose some leaves, flowers, twigs, grass, branches, etc.

  3. Think about how you could make a self portrait using those materials.

  4. Have fun creating!

Optional Challenge:

  1. Make several nature based self-portraits with a different combination of materials and compare/contrast them!

  2. Make a portrait of your whole body! You can even include your entire family (sticks make great arms, bodies and legs!)

  2. What facial expression do you want to show on your face?

  3. I like the way you are _____ (notice something awesome the child is doing!).
