Popsicle Sticks

Instructions:

1. Find the popsicle sticks in The BOX.

2. Help your child trace them in a sheet of paper and label them.

3. Have your child identify the popsicle side with the dots on it. This is a way to start subitizing.

4. Go on a scavenger hunt and match sticks to the number of objects found.

5. Optional Challenge: Cover the number and match the sticks.

InterACTions:

• I was wondering if you could find some objects around the house or outside to count them and match them to your sticks.

• I really like the objects you gathered, can you find a way to group them? Do they have similar characteristics?

• I am thinking maybe you can help me describe the items you chose.
